Twelve years ago, an unexpected family crisis left us on the verge of losing our home in Queenstown. I had just lost my livelihood, and my daughter Sarah was 22 — stepping up when our family needed it most.

We didn't have investors or a business plan. What we had was a living room, a shared belief that women deserve clothes that actually last, and a refusal to give up. We started sourcing classic, elegant coats from our kitchen table. We were exhausted, terrified, and learning everything as we went. But we weren't alone — thousands of women across New Zealand were tired of disposable fast fashion and wanted what we wanted: real quality, real care, real pieces that don't fall apart by July.

Twelve years later, we're still here. We saved the house. We built Aurora Classics. And now we're taking the biggest step in our story: bringing the brand to Australia.
